Well, I lied about getting new work up on the site in a few weeks…but the good news is there is new work! (Baby steps, you know.) Pictures WILL come, and all will be well.

Only a few short weeks until the big move! I canNOT believe I won’t be living by the ferry schedule anymore! My whole routine has been revolving around boat and limited bus schedules for the past year…I won’t even know what to do with myself when I’m in the city! I can leave the bars whenever I want! I can go to any movie showing! Even the late ones! This may all sound pretty small time to most people, but this is huge for me! When I move off Vashon, I want to go to as many things as I can. Concerts, art shows, midnight movie openings, late night group bike rides…all of it. I have to make up for all this lost time!

 Despite the limited events calendar on Vashon, there are actually some things that I’ll miss about it. I’ll miss the goats that live across the street from me for sure. They always baa at me when I’m waiting for the bus and it makes me laugh every time! That just never gets old. And, that’s about all I’ll miss.

 I got way, way too excited to move last week, and boxed up everything I could. By the end of the day I had a mountain of well packed boxes, and nothing to cook with or wear.  It’s been a lot like camping since then, except warmer and with more approachable showers. So if anyone wants to come camp on Vashon, your ship sails on the 31st!
